Snowed In

So we knew there was a storm, but it was supposed to be tapering off by 3p, little did we know it was just gearing up then. We left Milw. a little before 1 knowing that the storm covered I-94 W to Madison and I-39 N to Portage, the first hour and a half or so of our trip. After that it was supposed to be clear.

At 3:30p, we finally arrived in Madison, it was our plan to stop and wait out the storm for a while before heading on to Ladysmith. Wrong. Madison was in the process of shutting down. You couldn't even get off of 94W-39, we got to the mall and they said everything was shutting down. The mall was closed, all of the restaurants, everything. So we got a hotel and dug in for the night.

You may recognize our actor van under all that snow, these other cars are people who beat us to the Super 8. What is most interesting was the way the snow drifted over the car.

So tomorrow we'll try again!
